Job Description
United Future Foundation Uganda (UFFU) is affiliated to the Australian-based not-for profit School For Life, and operates 3 schools in Mpigi district, delivering holistic education to over 1,000 primary and secondary students in 2 campuses located in Mbazzi and Katuuso. Position: Head Teacher -Mbazzi Riverside High School .
Key duties and responsibilities
• Leadership and general administration
• Personnel administration of the school
• Oversee school accounting operations
• Prepare the schemes of work/ lesson plans and teach students
• Monitor teaching and curriculum coverage
• Promote discipline among learners and staff
• Equipping the lab, store and the library
• Link the school with all stakeholders
• Prepare progress & summary reports for management.
Person specification
• Degree in Education or BNBsc with PGDE.
• Registered as a Graduate Teacher.
• 5 years teaching experience 3 of which are at a level of Deputy, DoS or as Head Teacher.
• Experience and Skill in operating a boarding.
• Willingness to work and stay in a remote area.
