Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Palynologist for performing the following duties:-
• Carrying out collection, processing and analysis of palynology samples;
• Reviewing new advances in palynology and advising on suitable equipment for palynological analysis;
• Reviewing palynology data and reports submitted by oil companies;
• Carrying out age dating of the samples taken for hydrocarbon exploration;
• Participating in petroleum systems studies/modelling, basin analysis and resource assessment of the sedimentary basins packaging of palynological promotional materials;
• Carrying out operation, calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Geology and Chemistry; or Botany; or Zoology; or Petroleum Geoscience; or any other related field from a recognized University /Institution.
