Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Engineer (Mining) for performing the following duties:-
• Updating the Mining Cadaster and Registry System and e-Government portal;
• Verifying and capturing information on payment of mineral fees;
• Participating in review of applications for mineral rights and licenses;
• Participating in preparation of Division’s annual mineral investment and technical reports;
• Participating in evaluation of proposed models of mineral extraction;
• Participating in surface rights verification exercises;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor of Science Degree in Geology; or Engineering; or Mineral Economics; or Mineral Law; or Mine Surveying; or Geoscience from a recognized University / Institution A Post graduate qualification and training in the above or in the following fields: Geosciences; or Mineral Policy and Law; or Regulation and Management of Mining; or Environmental Management; or Management; or Natural Resource Management will be an added advantage.
