Internal Auditor
Location: Kampala, Uganda however can be mobilized to Lake Albert area, other construction sites or other cities as required.
Primary function: Identify risks within the processes and assist Management & process owners to develop action plans to improve the controls in the organization.

Responsibilities:
• Documenting the internal controls in each of the Company’s business units.
• Reviewing the internal controls and identifying weaknesses in these control.
• Performing operational, system and process audits for the company’s business units to identify any risks and develop action plans to mitigate those risks.
• Planning, executing and completing audit fieldwork in line with an established schedule.
• Ensure compliance to all the Company policies, PSA and the JOA as a key component of the audit process
• Preparation of audit reports (Quarterly/ annually).
• Assist with the year-end external audit to ensure timely submission of the financial statements.
• Familiarize yourself with the approved annual budget for block 1 and 2 and review the monthly finance reports from Partners to ensure the correct costs are being charged to the JV.
• Liaise with the Joint Venture Partners and the authority with any finance related matters relating to the Company e.g. Back charges.
• Other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, finance, taxation, insurance, management or the related.
• Minimum 5 years in big multi-national companies or audit firms as accountant or auditor.

Knowledge:
• Extensive knowledge of Uganda and international laws on economics, commerce, financing, accounting.
• Extensive knowledge of GAAP.
• Extensive knowledge of the software of SAP
• Understanding of oil E&P.
