Job Description
The Accounting Coordinator is responsible for providing operational support to the accounts office and administrative support to workshops and meeting. S/he has primary responsibility of ensuring that accounts documents are scanned and filed properly to the accounts store, the technical team is well facilitated with the documents required in processing payments such as registration forms, and may be required to support the registration process.
- Stamp vouchers before filing.
- Support accounts department with scanning the vouchers and filling on M-drive filing.
- File the hard copies of the vouchers in box files in a chronological order.
- Support the technical team and workshops with registration of participants.
- Support the reconciliation of vendor accounts.
- Ensure cash refunds are well receipted and banked.
- Backstopping the petty cash function.
- Support VAT filing function
- A degree in Business Administration/Accounting or any related course.
- Ability to operate a computer packages used to maintain accounts.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Ability to scan documents

Uganda Strengthening Supply Chain Systems (SSCS) Program is a five year project under MSH ending in June 2025. Its main focus is to support self-sustaining, responsive, uninterrupted, accountable delivery of quality-assured medicines and supplies to public and NGO health facilities. It will improve the performance of key actors all along the supply chain; advance transparent governance and effective, data-informed policies and regulations; and strengthen local capacities to accelerate Uganda’s progress on its Journey to Self-Reliance. SSCS will provide technical assistance to all USG Implementing Partners (USAID, CDC, and DOD) operating at the subnational level and deliver other assistance to improve the capacity of district health offices, health facilities, and medical stores. This project will strengthen the health system to more effectively combat infectious and non-communicable diseases and improve health services and outcomes for all of Uganda’s families and communities.
