Job Description


To support the managerial planning and commercial decision making by management of ThirdParty Receivables and costing of foreign consignments, making payments and accounting for disbursements in accordance with Finance policies and procedure for the field warehouse.

Key duties and responsibilities;
• Compile and verify Invoices in line with the agreed project contracts and submit them for processing of distribution handling charges
• Post reconciliation differences between the invoices and the System.
• Verify and Quality Check of Supplier Invoice and Purchase Order to sort out any discrepancy in the consignment documents.
• Endorse all the costs posted to enable the Purchase order to be closed.
• Prepare cash for banking.
• Issue payments from pet cash fund to respective individuals and maintain proper balances on daily basis.
• Prepare accountability for all petty cash payments
• Receive invoice /pro -forma from customer, inform customer amount to pay, receive cash and process receipt accordingly.
• Maintain a file for the receipts and vouchers according to the filling system
• Reconcile customer accounts regularly
• Reconcile the daily cash and cheque collections and hand over to Financial Accountant for onward processing.
• Prepare monthly performance report eg costing activity report
• Prepare schedules and take minutes during the credit control meeting

Person Specifications
Qualifications
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance or their equivalent
• Part Professional qualifications in CPA, ACCA will be an Added Advantage b. Experience
• At least two years’ work experience in a busy finance/accounts office at the level of a cashier
• Practical experience in using computerized financial accounting and enterprise resource

packages
