Duties
The incumbent will be responsible to the Senior Agricultural Inspector, Pests for performing the following duties:-
• Participating in Private and Public Sector awareness programmes for controlling Insect pests;
• Guiding Local Governments, Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries and other stakeholders on insect pest control strategies;
• Establishing and operationalizing collaborative mechanisms with research and other organization nationally, regionally and internationally on crop diseases;
• Guiding the provision and monitoring availability and use of major agricultural chemicals;
• Providing support to service providers in the area of crop disease;
• Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Minimum Qualification
• Applicants should be Ugandans in possession of an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture; or Crop Science from a recognized University / Institution.
