National Animal Genetics Resources Centre and Data Bank, a body corporate under the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries, its mandate is to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda, wishes to recruit the following:
Job Title: Assistant Inventory Management Officer

Location: Various Centre Farms
Reporting To: Finance & Administration Manager
Overall Job Purpose:
To receive, issue and record stores in the organization
Age Limit: 25-45 Years .

Specific Responsibilities

• Receives, keeps retrieves and issues stores in accordance with the established procedures, Receives and compiles requisition orders, Verifies invoices against goods received notes, Posts and maintains stores records, Undertakes stock-taking and stock-inspection, Records invoices and supplies, Checks and verifies invoices and issues notes, Ensures proper storage of stock, Supervises vehicle loading and offloading, Takes stock of stores, Records damaged, obsolete and expired items, Maintains stores records, Issues stock in accordance with the established procedures, Controls and maintains inventory levels, Follows up on orders to ensure that materials are delivered on promised dates and Manages the security of the stores

Basic Requirements

• Should have a minimum qualification of a Diploma in Stores/Supplies Management or Procurement or Equivalent Qualification from a recognized Institution
• Should have knowledge of computer applications or programs related stores management
• Working experience of at least Three (3) years at the level of Stores Assistant.
