Job Description


Mazars BRJ is the Uganda integrated firm of Mazars Group (www.mazars.com) and a member of the Mazars East Africa Group (“MEAG”) made up of offices in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda. Mazars is an international, integrated and independent firm, specializing in audit, accountancy, advisory, tax, and legal services. We assist major international groups, entrepreneurial and small businesses, private investors, and public bodies at every stage of their development. Mazars operates in 90+ countries, worldwide, together with a presence in a further 19 where it has correspondent offices. Mazars BRJ’s offices are located in Bugolobi, a Kampala suburb.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• As an Audit Assistant, you will gain invaluable insights and hands-on experience in your chosen field. Grow your professional skills alongside guidance from colleagues. Receive the right levels of support and formal training to translate your knowledge into practice. You will work on a range of tasks, which may include:
• Assisting in obtaining all necessary audit working papers, documentation including researching and documenting facts and findings;
• Assisting in carrying out audit work as assigned;
• Understanding and performing the audit procedures assigned to you;
• Be responsible for and understanding the Mazars audit approach, methodology & tools;
• Performing analytical review of financial information;
• Reviewing client accounting, operating, and internal control procedures;
• Providing recommendations for improvement of procedures in order to enhance business efficiency and management control over the entity.

Position Requirements
• Fresh graduates majoring in relevant fields (e.g.: Auditing, Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Commerce);
• Honest and highly committed;
• Self-motivated, proactive, positive attitude, and willingness to learn;
• Good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Both autonomous and team player;
• Well-organized to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Strong sense of ethics and confidentiality
• High literacy in-office applications (Microsoft Word, Excel and etc.)
