Business Manager

Duty Station: Kalisizo
Reports To: Director, Rakai Holdings
JOB SUMMARY
The position holder will be the Business Manager for all the income generating arms of Rakai Holdings, a business entity of Rakai Health Science Program .

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Recruit and train new employees
• Assess and identify new opportunities for growth in current and prospective markets
• Perform regular employee evaluations to determine areas of improvement
• Design business strategies and plans to meet the company goals.
• Ensure efficient use of resources of the business entity to optimize profitability
• Develop a comprehensive company budget and perform periodic budget analyses
• Ensure all company activities adhere to legal guidelines and policies
• Financial reporting for the business entity
• Assess overall company performance and profitability and advise management accordingly

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Commerce, Accounting or other related fields
• Minimum of a Credit 3 in Ordinary level Maths and English
• At least 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Outstanding leadership abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of the latest business policies and regulations
• Demonstrable analytical thinking & business insight
