Quality Chemical Industries Limited (QCIL) is East Africa’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturer and one of the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The Company manufactures antiretrovirals, artemisinin-based combination therapies (ACTS) and, Hepatitis medicines, to treat HIV/AIDS, Malaria, and Hepatitis respectively.

Job Summary:   This position holds overall responsibility for Qcil’s day-to-day operations, managing a team across multiple functions with the goal of operational excellence and strategic alignment.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Honours degree in Pharmacy/Sciences/Commerce/ Planning/Economics or related field; MBA preferred.

Required Experience & Competences

• Minimum 15 years’ across business functions with at least 10 years in Pharma, FMCG, manufacturing or related fields.
• Proven cross-functional leadership, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, experience in regulatory compliance, and customer service excellence.
• Skilled in navigating matrix environments.
• Adaptable to high levels of ambiguity and organisational change.
• Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
• Demonstrated aptitude for quick decision-making and holistic problem-solving.
