Position: Clinical Specialist
Location: Kampala, Uganda

ORGANISATION DESCRIPTION:
Tutapona is a leading provider of mental health services for refugees and communities affected by war & conflict that has been operating in Uganda since 2008. Currently Tutapona Uganda has 30 personnel, field offices in 3 locations including two refugee settlements and a diverse range of funding partners..

Description Of Position:

Reporting to the Country Director, the Clinical Specialist will be responsible for staff wellbeing, clinical support and insight, and programmatic and clinical training that support field staff serving in various settings across Uganda. Key responsibilities:
• Provide excellent clinical leadership and oversight of the Tutapona Uganda teams
• Maintain and strengthen the internal staff culture ensuring ongoing consistency with Tutapona’s Values
• Ensure program delivery is at the highest quality, involving providing and developing effective staff training, monitoring and evaluation
• Support the mental well-being of field staff through regular phone calls, one on one visits, and through clinical trainings
• Create and provide MHPSS trainings to field staff and other partners
• Provide clinical guidance and support to the clinical teams within the settlements
• Assist in providing input towards proposals and partnerships

Position Requirements:

• MA level qualification in a related field
• 2+ years of clinical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The capacity for frequent travel
• A strong commitment to Tutapona’s mission, vision, and faith position
