RHSP strives to improve the quality of life of the local population through a combination of community-based research, curative services and prevention strategies in the districts of South-central Uganda.
Cluster Care & Treatment Team Lead
Position: 02
Duty Station: Any of the clusters in Masaka region
Reports To: Cluster Coordinator
JOB SUMMARY
The position holder will provide technical assistance to the cluster teams supporting care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers) to ensure that the work thy do is integrated and of quality across the HIV care continuum for the districts supported by the cluster.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Oversee the activities of cluster teams supporting care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers) to ensure they are integrated.
• Review workplans and budgets of cluster teams supporting care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers).
• Provide continuous clinical mentoring to cluster teams supporting care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers) in all areas including reporting for all related MoH reports.
• Conduct regular support visits to facilities to review technical assistance given by cluster teams supporting care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers).
• Support and strengthen quality improvement activities for all care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers) in the support facilities.
• Support HMIS and program reporting for all care & treatment services (Care, PMTCT, TB, Supply Chain, Retention and Laboratory officers) across all supported facilities.
• Spearhead data use and utilization, to inform program improvement.
• Any other assigned duties in line with your role.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB)
• Master of Public Health, Master of Health Services research (MHSR) or Health Services management.
• Training in HIV/AIDS care and management is essential.
• Active Registration with the Uganda Medical and Dental Practitioners Council required.
• At least two years relevant experience in HIV/AIDS clinical experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge and experience in HIV/AIDS management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Knowledge of USG programming policies and regulations, MoH and district procedures and practices is an added advantage.
