12. Compensation and Benefits Coordinator
Location: Kampala, Uganda. Mobilized to Albert Lake, construction sites or other cities if required.
Primary function
• Provide assistance for Performance Management, Compensation and benefits activities.
Responsibilities
• Assisting in implementing and monitoring Performance management to enable employees and teams understand goals and strategic objectives of the business.
• Assisting in developing and communicating strategic vision, priorities, process and tools of the performance management unit.
• Coordinating performance management and improvement initiatives.
• Monitoring and reporting on Leave for National staff and ensuring that all leave is taken in line with the staff handbook and Ugandan Legislature.
• Liaise with Insurance providers such as the medical insurance, Group life and Group Personal Accident for national employees.
• Assist in managing payroll to ensure accurate payroll deductions and ensuring remittances are made to the appropriate bodies in a timely manner.
• Support the internal and external audit process by providing information, guidance and explanations to the audit team regarding payroll and other HR areas of audit interest.
• Inform existing employees of the expiration dates on their benefits and on payments unused leave.
• Support in the preparation of manpower budgets and prepare reports of the Company manpower costs.
• Loan Processing, solving issues and managing relations with key banks.
• Carry out market research and participate in benchmarking.
• Responsible for attendance record management and reporting.
• Other duties assigned by Superior.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree of above in Human resources, psychology or related disciplines.
• At least 3 years related working experience preferably in oil & gas industry.
Knowledge
• knowledge of payroll accounting and total rewards.
• Knowledge of C&B theories, tools, methods, design and management practice.
• Knowledge of SAP application
• Knowledge of the local labor policies and laws.
• Understanding of oil E&P.
