Job Description
To support the monitoring of JMS CCTV surveillance system and ensuring real time or immediate reporting of irregularities detected to the Compliance Officer – CCTV Surveillance and, or Director Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance.
Key duties and Responsibilities
• Carry out camera patrols and look out for deviations from procedure/accepted practices. 2) Arrange camera windows in such a manner that all sites are effectively viewed 3) Contact approved contact person to dispense corrective action.
• Provide clear and correct descriptions of people, vehicles and incidents in a calm and professional manner to response team
• Provide high quality written and verbal reports with sufficient evidence where applicable.
• Follow up on the status of previously reported incidents.
• Download video and photo extracts from server onto local storage in the control room.
• Analyse the downloads.
• Reference and file the downloaded footage
• Fill in investigation requests
• Record and report faults as soon as possibly identified
• Search the storage server for relevant video material, and download onto local storage in control room.
• Investigate footage to ascertain occurrence of the incident. 14) Report to the supervisor the findings.
• Prepare a system maintenance report
Person Specifications a. Qualifications
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer networking, information systems, computer science, and crime investigation with a Certificate in CCTV systems.
• Experience
• Two years’ experience in a similar role
General Competencies & Knowledge:
• Knowledge of ICT background with emphasis on CCTV operation
• Knowledge of CCTV Surveillance Systems
• Crime detection, investigation and reporting skills
• Attention to detail with the ability to identify small, apparently insignificant details
• Function within the enclosed environment of a Control Room
• Familiar with workplace incident investigations
• Communication skills
• Flexibility
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Email)
