Job Description
We are seeking a qualified candidate to fill the following vacancies in our Company .
Reporting to Finance Manager
Duties: Will be responsible for:
• Process all financial transactions in in SAP to enable accurate financial reporting and monitoring.
• Processing of payments, ensuring that all relevant documents are attached and dully approved, e.g. invoices, delivery notes, goods received notes (GRNs), credit notes, purchase order/ contracts, quotation analysis, quotations, demand forms etc.
• Prepare reconciliation of all other balance sheet accounts (beyond AP & AR) on a monthly basis to ensure exceptions are identified and dealt promptly.
• Preparation of bank reconciliations on receipt of the bank statements, ensuring that all direct debits are recorded and/or investigated with the bank and should be resolved by the following month.
• Review financial management reports on a monthly basis and provide timely feedback.
• Perform physical verification of Assets at least once per year to ensure that all assets are accurately recorded.
• Oversee archiving of financial documents to safe guard financial records and audit trails.
• Review monthly payroll and all the related statutory returns; compute staff separation benefits and ensure periodic Statutory returns are done to ensure adherence to the approved EAMVL policies, Employment and Tax Laws.
• File all relevant statutory deductions before the deadline – WHT, PAYE, NSSF, etc.
• Support Audit processes
• Prepare and closely monitor the cash book and bank balances for cash flow management Purposes.
• Prepare quarterly and monthly Cash Flow projections schedules by the 1st of each month.
• Monitor and determine if sufficient funds are available to execute current and future planned activities for a quarter.
• Monitor cash book and bank balances to ensure good working capital management.
• Review the Bank transactions and prepare adjustments in liaison with the Finance Manager.
Qualifications: Applicant should be holder of any of the following qualifications:
• Ideal candidate should be able to organize and manage their own work & time, work effectively and be cooperative with others and towards shared objectives.
• He/she should be able to explain financial issues and procedures to colleagues, able to work under pressure and towards tight deadlines, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• At least Level-II part-professional Accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA) is a MUST in additional to a Bachelor’s degree with a bias in accounting.
Experience:
• Minimum 3- 4 years of experience in Finance and Accounting with a reputable organization.
• Working knowledge of SAP ERP or any other Financial management software is an added advantage;
