Job Title: Costing Assistant

Reports to: Cost Accountant

Job Purpose:
Costing Assistant is responsible for supporting the Costing function by collecting data, reporting on and managing efficiency of the Production operations to keep them within set standards.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost.
• Carry out routine reconciliation of inputs vs outputs for production processes to manage variances
• Prepare periodic Production Reports to analyze production performance and its effect on Product costs and Company expenditure.
• Construct data accumulation systems.
• Capture data on production activities into the ERP in a timely and accurate way.
• Review and report on efficiency in production operations in regards to speed & quality.
• Ensure implementation and adherence to set controls throughout the production process.
• Carry out any other duties assigned by the Cost Accountant.

Qualifications
• Diploma in Business Administration /Accounting or another Finance /Accounting related field.
• At least 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing setup.
