Responsibilities
• Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store data relevant to the departments work and other departments requests.
• Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating client operations, applications, and programming within the department.
• Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external procedures and regulations.
• Seek authorization from the departmental head for any acquisition of information systems that are relevant to the work that the department requires.
• Prepare accurate database design and architecture reports for management and executive teams regarding analysis required from the department.
• Oversee the accumulation of data from different sources and organize it in a manner that that is suitable for analysis.
• Ensure efficient performance of the tools that are available for data analysis and advise the departmental head on new requirements of upgrade and new tools that are needed to facilitate efficiency in data analysis.
• Educate staff members through training and individual support.
• Offer support by responding to data set problem and software that the department uses for analysis and data mining.
• Any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

Required Qualifications, Skills & Experience
• The ideal applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in either Data Science or Programming.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of database structures system and data mining.
• Experience in working with SAP4 Hana will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge in programming preferably in Python & R.
• Knowledge in data visualization like power BI, Tableau, or any other statistical tools.
• Ability to develop creative solutions to problems.
• Ability to handle pressure and work under minimum supervision.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
