Job Description


KCB Bank is seeking a skilled and motivated Database Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our database systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of our banking services and supporting our data management strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS).
  • Ensure database security, integrity, availability, and performance.
  • Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required.
  • Develop and manage database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in

   Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.

  Strong knowledge of database structures, theories, principles, and practices.

  Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL.

  Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
