Job Description


The project coordinator deputizes the project manager and will be responsible for supporting Project Management and Implementation, Financial Management, Organizational Management, Monitoring and Result Measurement (MRM), reporting, project communications, Human Resource Management, and Business Development. The duties will involve applying the inclusive systems development approach to facilitate implementation and monitoring of project interventions through partners from the private and public sectors. S/he will be responsible for mobilizing and supporting stakeholders and project partners to participate in sector promotional meetings, workshops, and other project activities.

Qualifications and skills
• Minimum 8 years of work experience preferably in senior roles in the private sector with the desire to transition to development. Or, senior development sector experience working with market systems approaches. A mix of private sector and development experience involving management of donorfunded programs in Uganda or beyond would be advantageous.
• Advanced degree or bachelor’s degrees in business, Development studies, Agricultural Economics, Finance, and Economics, Public Policy, Rural Development, Enterprise Development or another field.
• Demonstrable skills in project management, financial management, advocacy, leadership, resource mobilization, procurement, communication, strategic planning, implementation with good knowledge of private sector and public sector operations. Business case design and implementation is a must.
