Reach Out Mbuya Community Health Initiative (ROM) is a Faith and Community-based organization providing holistic care to extremely vulnerable people living with HIV/AIDS. ROM holistically focuses on the body, mind, family and community wellbeing.
In partnership with World Education Initiative/Bantwana, we are implementing the USAID Integrated Child and Youth Development Activity (ICYD) in Kampala District. The Activity aims to ensure Uganda’s children and youth, especially girls and the most vulnerable, are well prepared to lead resilient, healthy, and productive lives. The activity will support interventions that lead to three outcomes:
1. Children have improved learning outcomes.
2. Children are safe and healthy in their community and learning environments.
3. Youth practice positive behaviours and make informed decisions about their lives and relationships.

Job Title: Division Coordinators (3)
Reports to: The Orphans & Vulnerable Children (OVC) Project Coordinator.
Directly supervise: Social Workers, Social Protection Supervisor and Economic Strengthening Supervisor
Location: Rubaga, Makindye and Kawempe
Job summary
The Division Coordinator will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the Division office. S/he will be responsible for networking, coordination and representation of ROM at the Division level. S/he will work to support the Division project team and community structures to ensure quality service delivery and Division set targets are realized.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Support the functionality of OVC coordination structures at Division level and community levels and maintain good working relations with Division stakeholders.
• Operationalise Division work plans, budgets and agree periodic performance targets.
• Act as the Division primary contact for both stakeholders and Project teams; accounting and reporting on financial and project requirements.
• Hold regular staff and community meetings to review progress and address emerging issues; periodically conducting field visits, support supervision to ensure quality OVC service delivery.
• Lead the trainings, mentorship and capacity building initiatives among the ROM activity team and community cadres.
• Strengthen reporting on OVC activities through National OVC Management Information System, funder databases, and set District/division systems.
• Ensure periodic timely reports as per the organizational and donor requirements; supporting other ICYD project activities in the Division.
• Conduct participatory OVC services and resources mapping exercise to identify all existing community, CSO, public and private sector service providers within the Division.
• Support and observe the safeguarding culture of ROM, regularly documenting and reporting identified and potential safeguarding issues; Ensuring health, safety, and security in your area of operation, as you promote the vision, mission and the values of Reach Out Mbuya.
• Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Ideal candidate for this position should have Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies or a related field. A post-graduate qualification in project management will be an added advantage.
• At least 3 years’ consistent experience in a technical advisory or support role with an awareness and familiarity with OVC programming.
• Demonstrable leadership competence of which teamwork, strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and negotiation skills are key.
• Experience or/and ability to work with extremely vulnerable communities and self-driven.
