Job Description
Adara Development is committed to improving Maternal Newborn Child Health services in Uganda, by supporting holistic programmes that ensure women and children have access to services across the continuum of care. The organization seeks to recruit an early intervention coordinator in Uganda to strengthen and grow the ABAaNA early intervention programme together with partners. ABOUT THE ROLE
The overall goal of this position is to improve the early identification and intervention of children with disability. The Early Intervention Coordinator works in partnership with the New-born National Trainer to strengthen and grow the ABAaNA early intervention programme together with partners.
The role supports children with disabilities and their families and seeks to help them thrive. The ABAaNA programme is an early intervention programme designed to support young children with disabilities and their families.

ABOUT YOU
• Degree in a clinical field, such as nursing or physiotherapy, is preferred.
• At least 3 years’ experience with direct management of the implementation of health programmes.
• Excellent organizational and program management experience, including managing work plans, budgets and monitoring and evaluation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (Luganda and English)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, coordination and networking skills.
• Experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to handle pressure.
• Excellent computer skills or ability to be trained in programs such as: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Passion for supporting young children and people with disabilities
• Ability to develop strong and trusting relationships with a diverse group of people
• Accountability, and the ability to self-manage workload and meet all deadlines
• Ability to approach all work and relationships with respect, accountability, and teamwork.
