Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our team at Green Power International Limited. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of hands-on experience in electrical/energy/mechanical engineering, with a focus on Solar PV installations and electrical works. This role requires a strong technical background, with proven experience in installing systems of up to 80kWp, and an Advanced Certificate (Craft Grade III) in Electrical/Energy/Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct site assessments to plan and prepare for the installation of Solar PV systems and electrical installations.
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot Solar PV systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Perform electrical installations for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
- Complete at least 5 successful Solar PV installations.
- Work closely with the project management team to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Test, commission, and inspect systems to ensure optimal performance, troubleshooting any electrical faults as necessary.
- Provide maintenance and servicing of installed systems to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
- Offer technical support to clients and address any technical concerns or issues.
- Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Maintain adherence to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment on-site.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Solar PV installation and electrical installations.
- Advanced Certificate (Craft Grade III) in Electrical/Energy/Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven experience in Solar PV system installation, including completing at least 5 projects (solar power systems)
- Strong knowledge of electrical installation standards and practices.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices for Solar PV systems and electrical installations.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Experience with tools and equipment for electrical and solar installations.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong time management skills, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
