To ensure effective budgeting processes, budget monitoring and smooth running of the Accounts Receivables function as well as reporting in line with Baylor policy and specific donor requirements.

Overall Responsibilities

• Developing overall project budget as per Baylor Uganda Financial year, by cost category and by programme area.
• Project Budget monitoring with respective budget holders and proactive prevention of variances by providing advice of best course of action.
• Ensuring timely submission of All Donor reports and other requirements as stipulated in respective Donor agreements.
•        Ensuring Compliance with all Grant agreement terms and conditions and regular continuous dissemination of all compliance specifics to respective parties.
• Timely invoicing for all due income especially for cost-reimbursable.
• Ensuring availability of funds at all times, including draw down from the PMS and reporting on the same.
• Analysis of the Forex Gains/Losses position in a bid to guide management decision.
• Monitoring of all Overheads recovered and Other Income generated.
• Other duties as may be required of a Finance manager – such as review of LPOs and Payment vouchers, Posting of PVs and JVs.

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting or Finance and membership to professional organizations i.e. ACCA & CPA (U). A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from a reputable University will be an added advantage. Over 5 years’ working experience with at least 2 years’ experience at a senior level in the Finance department of a reputable Non-Governmental Organization. Knowledge of Finance & Accounting packages like Navision. Must be dynamic, persuasive, self-motivated and able to demonstrate high initiative. Other key personal competences – like team work, communication skills, analytical skills, networking and partnership skills.
