Job Description
The position is responsible for the successful delivery of the G4G project through day-to-day oversight and coordination of programs, locally and globally. The position coordinates the various committee leaders by providing technical support, collecting information on various activities, analyzing the information, and providing high level reports on the collated information for stakeholder decision making
The duties include but are not limited to the following
• Participate in the planning and designing the programs and proactively monitor their progress, resolve issues and initiate appropriate corrective action.
• Review
• grant proposals, carry out critical analysis of the proposals and prepare concise written actionable reports to inform decision making.
• Review and conclude applications from organizations interested in participating in the G4G programs.
• Write
• operational manuals with clear policies and procedures and develop working tools and templates to be used to guide the smooth operations and implementation of the G4G project.
• Ensure that programs are implemented in compliance with laid down policy and procedure.
• Manage the program budgets, manage, and monitor expenditure and costs against delivered and realized benefits.
• Ensure a high level of security, accuracy, and efficiency in the development of all program reports.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of G4G strategy and programs with a view of measuring the impact on the community we are serving.
• Encourage creativity and risk-taking and coordinate Board activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in social science, human rights, development studies, or any related fields
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in program implementation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
• Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams.
• Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling programs
• Sound business case development and approvals skills
• Good negotiation with third parties
• Good knowledge of program and project management methods
