The Role
Oxfam in Uganda is looking for a competent person to join our dynamic, innovative and committed team in the following position:
Head of Programs
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership, strategic development and management of the Oxfam Uganda One program through the 3 themes namely, Governance and Accountability, Resilient Livelihoods and Humanitarian Preparedness and Response. S/he will support country resource mobilization and Oxfam lmpact locally, regionally, continentally and globally, ensuring alignment to key strategic objectives and programme standards, as well as the promotion of women’s rights in all program work.
This position will require a range of skills and experience including. a minimum of 10 years experience designing and managing humanitarian and development programs in reputable INGOs, ability to build and maintain credible stakeholder relationships and strategic partnerships; Strong organizational, management (including people), communication, conceptual & analytical skills; Knowledge of and experience in influencing, advocacy and Gender in programming; excellent knowledge and experience working with and managing multiple donors.
A Masters degree in Project Management, Public/Business Administration, Sociology/Psychology or other related fields.
