Job Description


Pride Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a Microfinance Deposit-taking Institution regulated and supered by Bank of Uganda (BoU) under the MDI Act, 2003 and MDI Regulations, 2004. Pride’s purpose is transforming PRIDE lives responsibly. Pride offers innovative financial solutions to largely people at the use of the com pyramid and serves its customers through 43 networked branches and 5 contact offices spread across the 650 country.

Pride implements sustainability sound practices throughout its business operations to create a positive impact through three sustainability pillars: economic, environment, and social as well as contributing to the Sustainability Development Goals (SDGs) and their investable sub-goals that relate to microfinance activities. Pride Microfinance Ltd would like to fill the position of Head Strategy.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Coordinate the development and review of the corporate and department plans of the Pride in line with the projected business growth levels thus ensuring the successful support of the Pride’s business plan.
• Drive the development of the Pride’s wide strategies utilizing and capitalizing on competitive market intelligence
• Support the EXCO in the cascading of strategic objectives across the entire Pride and to monitor their implementation.

Provide a thorough and objective assessment of strategic opportunities and make recommendations to different stakeholders in line with the Pride’s overall strategy, business model and risk appetite.

Minimum Academic Qualifications and Experiences
• A Master’s degree or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance Commerce, Statistics, Business Administration, or any business-related discipline. A minimum of 10 years of progressive work experience, 5 of which must be at a managerial level.
• Must possess experience in Strategy, Research and Business analysis.
