Job Description

MTI-UG has operations in West Nile and South western Uganda. We provide Comprehensive Primary Health Care, Reproductive Health, HIV/AIDS and Nutrition. MTI-Uganda is seeking to recruit highly competent, dynamic, trainable and experienced candidate to fill the following position;
JOB TITLE: Human Resource Specialist – Employee Relations & Staff Care
REPORTS TO: Senior Manager HR & Administration
LOCATION: Kampala with frequent travel to the field
POSITIONS: One (1)
POSITION NUMBER: #E2054 .
QUALIFICATION
• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial and Organizational Psychology or equivalent is required
• Professional Certificate in Human Resources
• Related Trainings in relevant fields
EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE
• 4 years of HR generalist experience, inclusive of some years with focus in Staff welfare and employee relations
• Direct experience in leading investigations
• Experience working with INGOs is an added advantage
• In-depth knowledge of HR functions including Employee relations, staff care, wellbeing and engagement
• In-depth knowledge of Uganda labor laws
• Skilled in coaching managers and capacity building
• Skilled in conflict resolution and staff counselling
• Skilled in developing and conducting trainings
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to organize work priorities, manage competing priorities and deliver on commitments
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to communicate with all levels of staff, orally and in writing reports
• Good interpersonal and relational skills
• Computer skills, especially with Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as internet navigation and electronic records management
• Ability to support MTI Calling and adhere to the MTI Code of Conduct
Job Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management
