About the Project:
IntraHealth International is currently seeking to recruit three Human Resources for Health Volunteers under USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance ports the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high quality health services in 25 districts in Eastern Uganda and 5 in Karamoja. This will be done by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and underserved populations. Human Resources for Health Volunteers 3 Positions (1 Teso, 1 Bugisu & 1 Bukedi clusters)
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Human Resources for Health Volunteer performs under the leadership of the Human Resources for Health Advisor.
- He/ she will support facility attendance to duty dash boards on a weekly basis to improve health workers attendance to duty and also monitor facility uploads of duty rooster into the iHRIS on a monthly basis.
- The Human Resources for Health volunteer will work with District Based Mentors (DBMS) to provide continuous mentorship of health facility staff in performance Management.
- He/she will monitor iHRIS complete functionality at district level.
- Monitor staffing changes in the districts, municipalities and regional referrals to inform HRH Planning.
- In addition, she/he will monitor and review support supervision action plans and report on status of progress.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The ideal applicant must hold at least a degree in Human Resource Management, Social Sciences or its equivalent.
- At least one year experience of working in HRH interventions
- Flexible and willing to work under pressure and tight deadlines
