Application are invited from suitable job seekers to fill up the position of Information Technology (IT) Technician (1) , who will be responsible to IT Manager at Bwindi Community Hospital.

Core responsibilities of IT Technician.
• Compilation of HMIS reports (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly and Annually) from different sections of the hospital and generation of other requested reports from the Hospital electronic databases and HMIS Registers.
• Maintenance and administration of Computer servers (Virtual Machines), Desktops, Laptops, SMART Boards (for Smart learning), Printers/scanners, Projectors, iPads, Kindles, PBX, smart phones, software deployment, security updates and patches as well as a vast array of additional technologies inclusive of both hardware and software.
• Install, configure, monitor and maintain secure computer systems and computer networks (both cabled and wireless).
• Management and troubleshooting of network attached security cameras including footage backup.
• Equipping Nursing school students with functional knowledge and basic computer skills.
• Offering of 24/7 End-User technical support.
Academic requirements and proficiencies (person specifications)
• Bachelor Degree in Information Technology or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
• CCNA certificate or Training certificate for completion of CCNA study requirement.
• Knowledge in VMware Infrastructure i.e., VMware ESXi Hypervisor and vCenter Server.
• Knowledge in Ubuntu Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Must possess Client-Server architecture extensive knowledge.
• Basic knowledge in website design, hosting and updating.
• Knowledge in computer repairs.
• Must be able to consciously uphold hospital core values.
• Must be able to work effectively with diverse team members and stakeholder.
