Main purpose of the job:

Maintain, monitor and support the IT infrastructure of Pride including hardware, software and other related infrastructure peripherals,

Duties and responsibilities
1. Install and configure peripherals, services, settings, storage etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
• Develop procedures for infrastructure hardware and software installation and maintenance.
• Monitor the installation of licensed applications on new computers and laptops.
• Ascertain that set procedures are followed during installation.
• Review, report and recommend improvements on IT hardware.
• Support the ICT Security manager in implementing ICT security measures.
2. Supervise troubleshooting and backing up of information systems
• Review incidents, preventive maintenance report, and maintenance reports.
• Resolve IT infrastructure incidents escalated to level 2.
• Monitor status of ICT assets, products, services and protocols and make recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinate periodic backing up of information systems.
3. Perform daily ICT system monitoring.
• Review the register of IT assets, their location and notify ICT Manager Infrastructure of any incidents.
• Check for movement of assets and proper documentation has been done.
4. Carry out performance reporting.
• Prepare and submit reports on performance of ICT resources.
• Review service level agreements and ensure service providers comply.
• Review performance of hardware and software and report incidents of below standards performance.
• Monitor infrastructure performance and draft reports.
5. Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.
• Verify all servers and network equipment is up and reachable.
• Verify all servers can access the storage assigned.
6. Maintain documentation for infrastructure projects.
• Review requests for proposals, bids and contracts and support the ICT Manager Infrastructure in the selection of service provider.
• Liaise with service providers in the delivery of service standards.
• Respond to inquiries and issues related to infrastructure.

• Qualifications
• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or any other related field
• Certification in MCSA, CSA, CCNA and any other networking certification

• At least three years experience in a busy ICT environment
