Job Description


This role covers the IBP/OnePlan process for assigned country and its interactions with the CoE.

Responsible for Assigned Market.
• Lead the OnePlan process in the Market and cross functional monthly planning rhythm
• Facilitate IBP meetings (process steps) with cross functional leaders;
• Set targeted, high impact agenda; Compile inputs from stakeholders across the business.
• Regular review cadence for Senior Leadership alignment and gap assessment.
• Support issue identification (supply constraints, available capacity) and initiate cross-functional resolution – coach and support to ensure comprehensive, fact-based decisions
• Accountable for successful implementation of PRM reviews.
• Lead the alignment and consensus of the 24 month rolling demand plan on SKU/depot level in weekly and monthly buckets in support of the IBP & S&OE process.
• Lead the Demand Review and Management Business Review steps of the IBP process with the Marketing, Supply, Finance and Commercial teams.
• Facilitate Demand Control (S&OE) process including weekly meetings for quicker decision making in the short term.
• Ensure delivery of cross-functional inputs to the S&OP process to guarantee quality plans are received.
• Work in partnership with Finance team to ensure volume is correctly translated into value (cash-up) for S&OP process.
• Ensure that all relevant financial elements of the demand plan (NSV, GP, price mix) are properly identified, discussed and agreed in the S&OP cycle, guaranteeing a single volume-value conversation.
• Challenge activity plans volume assumptions based on historical trends where necessary to drive an unbiased forecast.
• Collaborate with the COE Demand Planners, local Innovation and Commercial teams on volume and size assumptions, shipment timings and cannibalization projections for all new product introductions.
• Lead demand and supply integration and continuously drive alignment towards a single plan.
• Generate 18 month Consensus Demand Plan (volume)
• Analyse & manage volume assumptions, considering all relevant factors, both internal and external.
• Certify that the financial forecast is derived from the APO volume plan and that it contemplates all relevant S&OP agreements.
• Communicate critical forecast changes and supply constraints to stakeholders in the Supply Chain, Sales and Finance teams, as well as the CoE.
• Collaborate with CoE Demand Planners to conduct root cause analysis to identify drivers of forecast error and work together to take the necessary corrective action to drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and bias performance.
• Ensure scenario planning for significant events in market (duty changes, customer activities, economic conditions changes, etc.).

Skills and Capabilities
• Good knowledge, management and coordination of S&OP process.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and decision-making skills.
• Good commercial acumen.
• Solid business financial knowledge.
• Strong influencing and stakeholder engagement skills; able to manage multiply stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Ability to challenge senior stakeholders and manage tension in S&OP conversations.
• Exceptional communication skills – verbal, written and presentation.
• Detailed understanding of end to end supply chain operational processes within Diageo e.g. IBP, S&OP, DRP, MPS, inventory, conversion, logistics and customer service.
• Proficient in MS applications e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook.
• Previous experience working with SAP APO is preferred; however experience with similar planning tools will be considered.

Qualifications Experience
• +5 years in Supply Chain planning experience (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Material Planning), including significant experience managing S&OP process.
• Finance roles would also be considered.
• Wider cross-functional experience preferable e.g. Commercial, Finance or Supply.
• Prior experience leading and embedding S&OP best practice ways of working
• High degree of quantitative and analytical skills.
• Degree or equivalent in appropriate supply chain, mathematical, engineering, or business degree.
• APICS CPIM / CSCP or equivalent desirable.
• Inability to influence and manage stakeholders
• Lack of credibility with among CoE Leadership and country stakeholders (GM’s, Supply Chain Directors and Leadership Teams).
• Lack of analytical and planning skills
• Lack of effective and clear communication skills
• Inability to be proactive and focus energies on value added activities
• Inability to think in the future to anticipate problems and risks
