Job Description
Tilenga and kingfisher oilfields developments are the upstream component of the lake albert project, uganda’s first oil development.
The upcoming final investment decision will trigger the development of tilenga, the epc & drilling phase (43 months, 4.4 gusd) and eventually first oil.
Relationship with the authorities, partners and any stakeholder is a key factor for the success of the company, during a transient period into development/ construction and preparation for first oil.
Your objectifs:
• -To participate in the geology workload to meet the geoscience and reservoir macro-objectives;
• -To participate the drilling operations to ensure an efficient placement of the development wells;
• -To participate in the static evaluation of the fields and their uncertainties.
Your activities:
• -In line with the rmp, prepare the well sors in close collaboration with the geophysicists, reservoir engineers, operation geology & drilling teams (objectives, well trajectory, target box, section td criteria, data acquisition);
• -Work together with the ops geology, geophysicist, reservoir engineer and drilling teams to safely deliver the wells and achieve their objectives;
• -Participate in the analysis of the geological data. Managing these data together with the geoinformation team;
• -Update the geological models with new data collated during the drilling campaign;
• -Contribute to the documentation and reporting required by the local authorities (prr, arr, …)
Context and environment
The selected candidate will receive a VIE allowance according to the Business France rates and the subsidiary will provide an accommodation.

Candidate profile
Desired Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in Geology
Technical Skills :
• Knowledge & practice on geology, basis/understanding on other oil industry competencies (geophysics, well drilling operations, reservoir engineering, log interpretation, core/fluid measures…) are important but not mandatory.
Computing skills:
• Office suite, geosciences interpretation software (Petrel or others…)
Languages:
• English: level C1 minimum
• French: level B2 minimum
