Job Description
Job Purpose: – The role of a Recovery Officer (RO)Special Cases will be responsible for investigation of fraudulent cases and overall recovery of devices/assets in line with WATU Asset recovery policy. – The RO Special Cases also advises clients/ debtors on payment arrangements, handles enquiries and provides administrative assistance (reports) to the team after re-possession/ recovery of an asset (bike) has been done.
Key Specific Duties include:
1 Monitoring and controlling of assigned Asset Finance Portfolio using Company software.
2 Using GPS tracking technology, identifying location of the collateral and approaching the client at the field.
3 Liaise with the Asset Risk Manager/line Manager to identify fraudulent cases and follow them up.
4 Investigate and identify cases that are unrecoverable and present them to Asset Risk Manager/Branch Manager/Recovery Supervisor
5 Investigate and recover all missing/stolen/lost Assets/devices from the Branches
6 Liaise with different law enforcement agents to ensure that fraudsters are apprehended and made to pay penalties.
7 Develop a list of lessons learned from the field and share with all Branch Managers and management, and also suggest possible solutions to them.
8 Submit monthly recovery reports to the Asset Risk Manager Supervisor on your individual performance
9 Maintaining records and providing daily feedback on outcome of assignments and number of collections to the Head of Asset Recovery.
10 Providing training and sharing knowledge with new employees/Interns/Trainees employed by the Company.
11 Any other duty as may be assigned by the management.
- Preferred Languages include: Luganda, Lusoga, Luo, Acholi, Lango
- Should be good at riding a bike with a riding permit Class A
