Laboratory Technician (1)
Specification
• The ideal candidate should possess a Diploma or Certificate in medical Laboratory Technology
• Practicing License from Allied Health, Uganda
• Proven experience as a Lab assistant/Technician for at least 2 years in a hospital, healthcare centre or busy health practice.
• Experience in operating electrical and non-electrical laboratory equipment and potentially dangerous substances (flammable liquids, infectious bacteria, bio hazards, etc.)
• In depth knowledge of Health Information Systems, Technology, preventative measures and laboratory best practices.

DESIRABLE SKILLS /COMPETENCIES
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to maintain the highest degree of discretion.
• Proven abilities in developing health progress reports, epidemiological reports and other technical reports required.
• Computer Skills: Good command of Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, and Power Point), Databases, Spreadsheets, Presentation graphics, Statistical packages; Internet.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative manner within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills
