Job Description
The National Animal Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC&DB) is a semi-autonomous agency under the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries mandated to take a leading role in establishing a comprehensive National Animal Breeding Programme in Uganda. The agency wishes to recruit the following;
Job Title: Liquid Nitrogen Plant Operator

Starting date: Immediately
Duration of commitment: 1 Year Renewable Contract
Salary Expectation: Attractive
Location: Mbarara, Njeru and Soroti
Reporting to: Sire stud Manager
Overall Job Purpose:
Proper operation and routine maintenance of liquid nitrogen production plants for continuous supply of liquid nitrogen.
Age Limit: 25-45 years
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operate the liquid nitrogen plants / liquid nitrogen production
• Handle minor maintenance of the liquid nitrogen plants
• Follow up general service repair schedules as recommended by the manufacturer
• Keep accurate record of liquid nitrogen produced and distributed
• Protect and safeguard all the properties of NAGRC&DB under their custody
• Participate in any other activities as required by NAGRC&DB
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
• A diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering from a recognized institution
• Should have good communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
• Working experience as a mechanical or electrical practitioner of at least two (02) years from a reputable organization
