Job Description
Position & Grade: Microbiology Analyst
Reports to: Assistant: Quality Assurance Manager-Controls
Summary Role:
The summary role of a Microbiology Analyst is to focus on sampling and testing as per set Movit Products Limited SOPs and regulatory standards. The person is also responsible for plant GMP monitoring and Plant CIP and sanitation review.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
● Carry out microbiological tests;
● Identify swabbing areas;
● Draft or develop sampling plan;
● Prepare lab equipment for micro testing;
● Do micro sampling;
● Do micro plating;
● Read, record and report micro results;
● Do trend analyses on micro results;
● Assist operational staff with resolution of micro issues;
● Perform GMP audits;
● Conduct weekly audits and inspection;
● Report and record issues and corrective action from surveys;
● Monitored plant CIP routines;
● Do CIP verification titrations;
● Ensure CIP schedule is followed to the letter;
● Communicate non-conformances to relevant parties;
● Training of other staff;
● Generate Monthly performance report;
● Implement the Movit Eagle way by executing your duties in line with Quality, Speed, Cost, Safety and People in order to establish the basis for Effective Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement and Innovation; and
● Perform any other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Working Relationship and work Environment:
● Working with the entire staff and functions in Movit Products Limited;
● Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders;
● Office based and ability to manage urgent demands;
● Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a high degree of flexibility and versatility;
● Ability to work in a team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
● The ideal candidate for the Microbiology Analyst position should hold minimum a degree in Microbiology;
● Minimum of 2 Years relevant experience with a manufacturing background;
● Computer literacy (Excel, Word, power point);
● Accountability, assertiveness, displine, Independence, Problem solving and analysis, self-motivation and strong cognitive skills;
● Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision;
● Excellent interpersonal, communication, supervision, reporting and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity and confidentiality.
