On behalf of our Client in the Extractives sector, we are looking for competent individuals to fill the following position:
Situation In The Organisation
Job Title: Nurse
Division: Human Resources
Direction: Medical Affairs
Reports to: Chief Medical Officer Direct
Reports: Site Nurses
Based in: Kampala
Relationships:
Activities
Supports CMO in affiliate Management and all employees including dependents for expatriates, all stakeholders in medical services
• Receive patient as the first line consultation, perform the first treatment, call Ambulance and or COMPANY Doctor
• Manage the clinic orders, inventory, servicing, hygiene
• Activate ambulance transfer for clients requiring ambulance transfer from site
• Control and update the stock list of Emergency Medical drugs, sundries, and equipment
• Work closely with HSE department: plan of action, planned inspection, procedures, SOP
• • Work with HR regarding Occupational Health (follow up, collect medical information, meeting with CMO and medical provider to improve the procedure, dashboard)
• Supervise and advice nurses working at the camps site under the responsibility of the CMO
• Refer patients if needed to external Clinics or CMO or SMO
• Manage/Update the first Aid kits with Medical Provider
• Update procedures and report linked to medical and safety
• Implement prevention action (medical awareness session – posters, specialist meetings, intranet communication, vaccination)
• Plan the equipment maintenance, order equipment, drugs, and non-consumables
• Supervise trainings and drills linked with medical providers (ALS, Advanced LifeSupport)

• Medical care to staff and dependents
• Maintain clinic stock of equipment, drugs, consumables
• Work with medical team to perform emergency medical evacuation
• Maintain clinic operation\
• Over-sees the nurses on site (camps)
Qualifications and Required Experience
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in nursing
• At least three years’ experience in a clinic setting
• Experience is provision of emergency care
• Experience in oil and gas an added advantage
