We are an international confederation of 19 organizations (affiliates) working together with partners and local communities in the areas of humanitarian, development and campaigning, in more than 90 countries. In Uganda, our program is anchored on three broad themes deliberately focused on Women’s Rights: Governance and Accountability, Resilient Livelihoods and Humanitarian Preparedness and Response.

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of this position is to facilitate the efficiency of the field offices by maintaining a clean, hygienic and conducive working environment that supports staff health and wellbeing, and caters for all Oxfam Visitors.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal applicant should at least have O’ Level certificate and/or extensive experience in the administration skills including experience of household management and maintenance
  • Ability to operate office machines
  • Good knowledge in filing and record keeping, basic knowledge of working with computers
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work on own and within various teams
  • Proven ability to be flexible
  • Good understanding and commitment to Oxfam’s gender work/ polices, hence capacity to incorporate gender and diversity issues into office management.
  • Interpersonal Skills and proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Ability to speak the local language
