We are looking for a Ugandan national with operational management experience that will play a key role as part as the countries new management team to be based in Kampala, Uganda.

The role is focused on ensuring the smooth running of all the branch based lending operations and will include training and monitoring both customer facing branch staff as well as the back office call centre and administration team. The ideal candidate must combine a variety of skills applicable to the industry, including customer service, problem solving and people management.

Responsibilities:

1) Management and strategy

• Serve as member of executive team and assist in determination of company strategy
• Manage entire network of branch and staff members
• Make Unifi Uganda an adventurous and desirable place to work
• Contribute to growth of Unifi Credit as a key player in the Ugandan microfinance industry

2) Operational

• Manage the client services team alongside the branch mangers
• Measure and enhance customer service
• Implement and monitor staff training and performance
• Assist the marketing team in the rollout of client acquisition initiatives
• Manage the operational HR function

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role in (microfinance and credit prefable)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Comfort working with multiple groups within business
• Degree education in a relevant feild prefable
