Job Description


EzyAgric is a mobile and web app company that was founded in 2014 from Uganda with the aim of modernizing agriculture & making it more profitable, by digitizing financing, high-quality input sales, farm management, agriculture extension/advisory services, and produce market linkages. Currently, the application has over 120,000 farmers across Uganda.

EzyAgric would like a unique and talented Operations Officer (TRAINEE) with possibility of Contract Extention to join the amazing team based in Kampala.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TALENT THAT WILL:

Handle order requests or purchases once they are confirmed. It will be up to the Operations Officer to manage the pulling and packing of materials and arrange appropriate transportation.

Among the tasks that might need to be completed in this responsibility include input consolidation, cost analysis, routing and scheduling. The Officer must also track input orders to ensure they arrive on time and that the delivery processes adhere to any pertinent regulations.

MAJOR DUTIES (CONTRIBUTION SPECIFICS):

  • Oversee the clients’ orders, plan and allocate them according to the aggregation requirements
  • Responsible for tracking, receiving, and stocking all items ordered
  • Ensure that products are appropriately stored
  • Program the final inventory of input products prior to delivery.
  • Draft proper documentation for the deliveries made i.e. delivery notes and receipts.
  • Responsible for the delivery of orders to the respective EzyAgric clients.
  • Manage and maintain inventory to operating levels to maintain a constant supply.
  • Responsible for supervising and accounting for an inventory.
  • Ensure proper tracking of the orders confirmed, in transit, delivered, changed or those canceled.
  • Compiling weekly order alignment report to guide the management on how to improve the inputs ecosystem.

Recommend the changes that can be adapted in the Company’s inputs order alignment policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, procurement, arts in economics or any equivalent.
  • Knowledge in statistical analysis is an added advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Willing to work with rural communities.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office package and basic computer skills
  • Marketing and sales skills is an added advantage
  • Proficient in Project management skills

PROFESSIONAL AND TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to effectively communicate present information and respond to questions, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, plan and set priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work independently and in team settings.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 year of work-related experience or training is required.
