JESA/HR/PDN/17: PASTEURISER OPERATOR (04 VACANCIES)
Job Summary
To operate HTST (High temperature short time) pasteurizer units to produce required unit of product, depending on production schedules involving pasteurizing raw milk in different dairy products basing on regulations, monitor pasteurizer for proper functioning and conduct CIP plus COP on equipment.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
• Pasteurize milk according to the regulations and monitor the pasteurizer for proper functioning
• Conduct pre-operation checks for equipment cleaning and sanitation are done before production commences; maintain clean and safe working environment to prevent cross contamination of finished pasteurized milk.
• Set up and operate the pasteurizer according to the production plan and schedule with reference to formulations of different products basing on butter fat.
• Monitor equipment performance, temperature, pressures in order to detect any abnormal plant challenges
• Quality assurance, by monitoring CCP within the set parameters, collect in-process milk samples, monitor cream separation and sharing samples with the quality team.
• Comply with SOPS (standard operating procedures), GMP (Good manufacturing practices), documentation (paperwork/check list/verifications) on pasteurizer for compliance, and health and safety compliance
• Complete the daily and monthly equipment inspections and provide support in preventive maintenance
• Adhere to FIFO (First In First Out) of raw milk in silos and basing on Quality control test results, and collect inprocess samples for chemical and physical specification testing by the quality control.
• Distribute pasteurized milk to different departments of the production line while ensuring quality and quantity.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Basic Qualification Diploma in Food Science and or Food Processing obtained from an internationally recognized institution.
Working Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ relevant working experience.
