Job Description
Position & Grade: Planning Materials In charge
Reports to: Production Manager
Summary Role:
The summary role of the Planning Materials In charge is to ensure SAP planning process, monitor daily stock levels and also responsible for converting sales forecasts into production plans.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Chairs the daily planning meeting & oversees all planning activities.
• Is responsible for converting sales forecasts into production plans.
• Has overall responsibility over the SAP planning process i.e., carrying out MRP runs.
• Supports the Systems and information in charge when it comes to carrying out reconciliation of production materials.
• Monitors daily stock levels, prioritizes and comes up with a daily production plan to ensure no stock outs are registered.
• Receives all special orders and schedules for their production
• Liaise with different departments i.e. stores & procurement to ensure availability of materials.
• In liaison with the shift managers, set the right targets, plans for the available machines & plan for the right manpower.
• Continuously identifies gaps in the planning process and comes up with improvements.
• Works hand in hand with the maintenance planner and ensures equipment is availed for maintenance as per the maintenance plan.
• Implement the Movit Eagle way by executing your duties in line with Quality, Speed, Cost, Safety and People in order to establish the basis for Effective Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement and Innovation; and
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.

● Working with the entire staff and functions in Movit Products Limited;
● Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders;
● Office based and ability to manage urgent demands;
● Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a high degree of flexibility and versatility;
● Ability to work in a team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
● The ideal candidate must hold minimum a degree in industrial engineering /mechanical engineering/Business administration.
● Minimum three (3) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.; At least 2 years of experience carrying out production planning related work.
● Good understanding of the SAP production planning module.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity.
