Job Description
IntraHealth International (www.intrahealth.org) is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Procurement Officer under USAID Regional Health Integration to Enhance Services in Eastern Uganda (RHITES-E) that supports the Government of Uganda (GOU) and key stakeholders to increase availability and utilization of high-quality health services in 25 districts in Eastern Uganda and 5 in Karamoja. This is done by strengthening health systems and improving the quality of, access to, and demand for health services with attention to equity and underserved populations.

Job Summary :
Reporting to the Procurement and Logistics Manager, the Procurement Officer will provide operational support to the procurement section and will work closely with the programs and Finance teams in the USAID RHITES Activity.
The officer will analyze and reconcile suppliers’ invoices for all ordered goods and services, receive participants’ lists from program teams, ensure ordered services and goods delivered conform to specifications and subsequent billing for such services received accurately and in a timely manner. The officer will work closely with the finance team to manage suppliers’ invoices and maintain an up to date and easily accessible filing system for all procurement documents. S/he will scan through the LPO book on a weekly basis and follow up with suppliers on deliveries, invoices, post all issued LPOS into quick books and verify them against the LPO in consultation with the users
Minimum Requirement:
• Degree in Procurement & Logistics Management, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• At least 4years working experience in managing a busy procurement section
• Knowledge of donor requirements (USAID and/or international procurement best practices)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with prioritization
• Attention to details and understanding suppliers’ payment cycles/procedures.
• Good communication, interpersonal, problem solving skills.
