Job Description


Pathfinder International was awarded a five-year Family Planning Activity (FPA) by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). As a lead implementing agency, Pathfinder with partners will play a catalytic role in increasing access to modem contraception and reducing the unmet need for voluntary Family planning services in Uganda.
Intermediate Result Areas:
The FPA’s three Intermediate Result areas (IRs) are; Uganda leadership and coordination strengthened to support FPA; Positive social norms and behaviors enhanced to improve healthy timing and spacing of pregnancies; and access to quality PP increased; will be implemented in 11 districts with three cluster offices in Masindi covering Kiryandongo, Bulissa and Kyankwanzi, Fortportal Cluster covering Kyegegwa, Kyenjojo, Kibale, Ntoroko, and Bundibugyo; Masaka Cluster covering Gomba and Rakai districts with head office in Kampala overseeing all but covering Butambala.
We are currently seeking highly motivated individual for the following position:
Procurement Specialist
Based in: Kampala .

Key accountabilities: The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the effective management of the procurement Function to ensure effective, transparent acquisition of goods and services while meeting the quality standards while adhering to Pl and Donor Procurement Policies and Procedures. The position is primarily responsible for, but is not limited to, all in-country purchases for commercial goods and services for Pl Uganda projects up to the delegated procurement threshold, ensures that purchases are compliant with established policy, that the procurement supply chain is effectively meeting the needs of PI country projects. S/he ensures that the unit provides high—quality. responsive, timely and cost-effective services across all projects within the framework of local laws, PI policies and standard operating procedures, and donor requirements. S/he is a member of the Pl Operations Unit and reports directly to the Director Finance and Operations.
