Job Summary:

The Production Analyst serves as a business support person to production and Finance team. Responsible for Production level costs and control including cost accounting, bill of materials audits, and cost analysis. The incumbent supports month end close and special projects as requested. Works closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they impact the financial results as well as educate/inform department(s) on cost drivers, waste management and variances. Also acts as a liaison with corporate financial staff, as required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interact with production control to ensure Bills of Materials are accurate and update.
  • Complete the ERP-SAP production process to closure of all production orders.
  • Monitor Machine performance and their ability to meet set production targets.
  • Investigates and explain variances (especially material usage variance). Report this information weekly, monthly or as needed.
  • Work with the finance department to implement and apply cost accounting policies and procedures as they are derived.
  • Support the Head of Finance’s efforts for implementing and maintaining the internal controls for production.
  • Count and verify the production, wastage and spillage.
  • Compute the expected Vs Actual output and report on such variances.
  • Routine weighing of products for purposes of material reconciliation.
  • Monitor movement of good production, wastage and spillage.
  • Preparation of input-output and machine performance reports (daily, weekly,
  • monthly, quarterly and annual)

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The applicant should hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Statistics, etc or its equivalent
  • Knowledge of all areas of production is essential
  • Competence in inventory management, advanced Excel
  • ERP-SAP experience in inventory management
  • Ability to read weighing scales
