Job Summary:

The Production Manager will be responsible for all aspects of bakery production with a primary focus on the planning of production, coordination of catering production, recipe and menu development, new account development, major account follow-up, forecasting, and preparation. Is accountable for inventory on shop floor and quality control. He/she shall manage daily activities on the production floor, including all shift managers and their subordinates to maximize team productivity and the quality of products.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• The Ideal candidate should possess a Diploma / Degree in Culinary Arts. Specialized in Bakery Production, sound knowledge of Craft Bakery Products is preferred
• 8+ years of production bakery manufacturing experience
• Good understanding of inventory mix. inventory controls and customer needs
• Experience in production of high sugar bread, cakes cookies and donuts.
• Experience in producing consistent quality bakery products.
• Experience in minimizing waste
• Good managerial skills to effectively co-ordinate with staff and departments.
• Knowledge of plant efficiencies and throughput.
• Applied knowledge of lean manufacturing
• Ability to work under pressure and for long hours
• Experience or ability to use ERP software
