Job Description
Position & Grade: Production Planning Supervisor
Reports to: Planning Materials Incharge
Summary Role:
The summary role of a production planning supervisor is to ensure that weekly and daily plans are drafted, ensuring right materials are delivered and monitors all available semi-finished product and packaging materials on the shop floor.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring that weekly & daily plans are drafted and shared with the Production team, Stores team, Quality control team & the Procurement team.
• Ensure the right materials are delivered to packaging halls.
• Monitors all available semi-finished product & packaging materials on the shop floor and ensure these are planned for or are returned to stores.
• Ensure daily material usage reports are picked from the planning officers’ materials & submitted to the Information and systems in charge.
• Ensure all unused materials are returned to store or planned for production.
• Update all daily production reports for decision making purposes.
• Ensures execution on the production shop floor happens as planned.
• In case of any uncertainties on the shop floor, should ensure the plan is adjusted immediately to avoid delays.
• Work closely with stores & procurement to check FG stock levels & PM materials by closely monitoring the FG reports & walkabouts in stores.
• Implement the Movit Eagle way by executing your duties in line with Quality, Speed, Cost, Safety and People in order to establish the basis for Effective Problem Solving, Continuous Improvement and Innovation; and
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities as maybe assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Working Relationship and work Environment:
● Working with the entire staff and functions in Movit Products Limited;
● Maintain good relations with key associates and company external stakeholders;
● Office based and ability to manage urgent demands;
● Ability to meet deadlines and exhibit a high degree of flexibility and versatility;
● Ability to work in a team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
● The ideal candidate must hold minimum a diploma in industrial engineering/mechanical engineering/Business administration.
● Minimum two (2) years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; At least one year of experience carrying out production planning related work.
● Good understanding of the SAP production planning module.
● Ability to work under pressure with minimum or no supervision.
● Ability to assess problems and develop solutions.
● Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills with a high demonstrable level of integrity.
