Job Description


To support the Programme Development Manager in the acquisition of new projects as Baylor Uganda diversifies its revenue sources from traditional grants. The Programme Development Coordinator will be responsible for proposal development process and coordination with partners.

Overall Responsibilities
• Planning & Strategy Development Support
Support the manager in the development of strategies and procedures on resource mobilization.
• Draft periodic operational resource mobilization activity plans and budgets for approval.
• Periodically Compile and update data base for prequalification ‘resource mobilization and proposal requirements.
• Program Design and Management
• Develop new project concepts and proposals for approval in line with Baylor Uganda and donor guidelines.
• Coordinate with business development coordinator and partnerships team during proposal development to ensure coherence between project documents, including log frames, narrative proposals and budgets
• Partnership Engagement;
• Identify strategic fundraising partners and maintain relations with potential donors and partners including government agencies through constant communication
• Represent Baylor Uganda in internal and external engagements
Maintain a donor database including contact details, areas of interest/objectives, funding and contractual modalities and formats with a view to sustaining existing cordial relationships.
• Capacity Development;
• Train project teams on the development of programmic concept notes from ideas based on project needs.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure that partners are actively involved and supported in programs. They attend project kick off meetings and monthly reviews.
• Learning and Knowledge Management
• Conduct project closure meetings for all ending projects to review the various successes and challenges for final reporting and documentation of lessons learned
• Revenue Generation & Fundraising
• Collect data and information for proposals.
• Prepare concepts and proposals while ensuring timely submission and availability of all requirements.
• Reporting
• Compile and prepare timely and quality donor reports with input from the different project teams

Required Qualification, Experience and Competencies:
• A Master’s degree in Business studies, Public health or any other related field.
Degree in Medicine, social sciences, development studies and/or Business Administration
• Any additional health related qualification will be an added advantage
• A minimum of 4 years working related experience in a reputable Non- Governmental Organization
• Broad working knowledge of project planning & management principles
• Working knowledge of donor guidelines with broad understanding of Resource mobilization, with experience in writing fundable proposals.
• 4 Years Relevant Experience
