Job Description
The ASRH Coordinator is responsible for effectively and efficiently planning, management and delivery of the ASRH project components within the Impact Area in ways that meet both local and international Save the Children and respective donor requirements and guidelines.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related discipline or Social Sciences with experience in ASRHR programming, Post graduate training in either public health, Health Systems Strengthening, Community Health, Reproductive Health, Gender etc. will be of added advantage.
- At least 3 years’ progressive experience in planning and implementation of ASRH -based programme targeting Adolescents and youth.
- Ability to speak the local language fluently is a strong requirement. Ability to ride a motorcycle (Honda XL 125).
- Experience of working with local partners and District Local Government in Child Rights Governance, ASRH, or Child Protection is an added advantage.
- Experience of training partners in ASRH.
Desirable
- Strong analytical skills and strategic planning abilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain conducive collegial relations and perform effectively with partners.
- Willingness to travel and work in hard-to-reach areas, occasionally under strenuous conditions.
- Computer literacy and excellent documentation skills are a must.
- Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
- Highly developed cultural awareness and ability to work well in an international environment with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Ability to intervene with crisis management or troubleshooting as necessary.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills including influencing, negotiation and coaching.
- Excellent time management and planning capacity.
- Availability and willingness to work extra hours during times of humanitarian responses.
